FENG SHUI SALT WATER CURE
Here are the items you need to make your own salt water cure:
Salt (ideally high quality rock salt)
One Container (glass, porcelain or metal)
6 Chinese Coins (made from brass)
Water (to fill 3/4 of your chosen container)
A protective mat, or a stand.
Step #1. Fill your chosen container with salt up to 3/4 of its capacity.
Step #2. Place the 6 Chinese coins on top of the salt; the coins should be placed with the Yang side up (the side with the four Chinese characters).
Step #3. Add water to fill the container to the top.
Step #4. Place the container on a protective mat, or on a stand in the home area where you most need it.
Step #5. The salt water cure container should be left open, so be sure not to cover it or place it in a covered space, such as a kitchen cupboard, for example.
Place your salt water cure in an area where you know the container will be safe, meaning it will not be tipped over, moved or otherwise tampered with. Usually a room corner works well. If you do not like the look of the salt water cure (it will change even more in time); be sure to place it behind a decor object so that your feng shui cure is not visible. For example, you can have your salt water cure behind the sofa, a screen or a big lush plant. You should be able to have easy access to your salt water cure in order to add water as needed.
Because the feng shui salt water cure will absorb and accumulate a lot of negative energy, care should be taken with its disposal. Do not cleanse the bowl and the coins, but rather properly discard the whole cure. In some homes this cure needs to be replaced every couple of months, and in other homes just once or twice a year is enough. Keep an eye on your salt water cure, and it if looks like it has done a lot of work (like the one pictured above), then replace it with a new one.
Traditionally, the Chinese New Year is always the time to place a new salt water cure, or to replace the existing one.

FENG SHUI CURES FOR 2017
East Area in 2017
The East feng shui bagua area has beautiful energy in 2017, an auspicious energy connected to wealth and abundance, as well as some challenging energies, too. The Wealth Star #8, that is of the Earth element, is here in 2017. Because we have an Earth element star in a Wood element bagua area, we are restricted mostly to the use of Earth element feng shui cures in order to strengthen its energy. So, bring and abundance Earth element decor colors, shapes and items, with the emphasis being on expressing wealth in all its forms. Another beneficial influence of this star is its romantic aspect, so along with wealth, you can also emphasize with your feng shui decor the energy of love and romance.
Feng shui crystals, being of the Earth element, are wonderful here in 2017; and so are various expressions of the Earth element – from pottery to images of landscapes. From the classical Chinese feng shui cures, you can choose the three legged toad facing your lucky direction for wealth. Along with this very auspicious energy of wealth, the East bagua area also hosts a negative quality of energy in 2017 (called 3 killings in traditional feng shui circles). This means that the usual cautions for an area with challenging feng shui energy apply – do your best to keep the area quiet, no renovations, no digging, no loud music, etc. The salt water cure is recommended here to neutralize the challenging energy. You can also choose to place one or both of the following cures: 6 metal coins tied with a red ribbon (in a row), as well as a 6 hollow rods metal wind chime.
Southeast Area in 2017
The Southeast bagua area has beautiful energy in 2017, an auspicious energy connected to future wealth and abundance. This is quite unique as the Southeast area in itself carries the energy of abundance (this is your money area), so the energy of wealth and abundance is sure multiplied here in 2017! The visiting star is the Future Wealth Star #9 that is of the Fire element. The presence of this auspicious star usually means you can welcome it and strengthen its energy with a variety of fiery decor items, such as red pillows, purple candles, fiery art, etc.
However, because we are in a Wood element bagua area, the wisest way to multiply the positive energy of this feng shui star is to focus on decorating with lush Wood element decor. This will both strengthen the fiery energy of the visiting star, as well as keep the native element of the Southeast area strong. Even though the Water element decor items and cures such a fountains, images of water, colors blue and black, etc are usually welcomed in the Southeast, it is best to avoid a strong presence of Water element decor here in 2017. Because in the destructive cycle of the 5 feng shui elements the Water element weakens the fiery energy of the visiting Wealth Star.
Focus on strong Wood element decorating with a touch of Fire element decor. Be sure to clearly express your intent for abundance with any feng shui wealth decor cures that you bring to this area. From classical feng shui cures, you can choose to work with Chinese coins, the Laughing Buddha or golden ingots. The lucky bamboo with 9 stems is excellent here in 2017, and so are fresh flowers.
South Area in 2017
The South feng shui bagua area has the most challenging energy in 2017. Definitely do your best to keep this area quiet, as well as avoid Fire element decor completely. Yes, this can be a bit difficult as usually the Fire element is much welcomed here because it is the native element of the South bagua area. It is wise to minimize the Earth element decor, too. The reason for these precautions is the feng shui Earth element of the visiting negative star here (feng shui star #5). As Fire nourishes/creates Earth in the productive cycle of the 5 elements, it is best to minimize or completely avoid Fire element decor in the South area in 2017 because this will only strengthen the energy of the negative energy star.
The salt water cure is very helpful here, as well as very strong Metal element decor, be it in traditional feng shui cures such as wind chimes, six Chinese coins or more modern and subtle feng shui approach such as good feng shui Metal element decorating. Do your best to leave this bagua area undisturbed in 2017, and focus on Metal element decorating. From the classical feng shui cures, a six hollow rods wind chime is recommended here, and so are the six Chinese coins tied with a red ribbon or a metal Wo Lou. Do not forget about the salt water cure here.
Southwest Area in 2017
The Southwest feng shui area is also affected by negative feng shui energies in 2017, which makes it another area to try to keep quiet and not disturb its energies. Water element decor is very good here, as well as the classical feng shui protection symbol or blue rhinoceros (you can also go for a blue color elephant symbol).
So blue and black color decor items, pillows, art, as well as flowing shapes are all much welcomed here in 2017. Be sure to avoid a strong presence of the Fire element decor. Also avoid a strong presence of the Metal element.
West Area in 2017
The West area of your home or office will host potentially negative energies in 2017. Keep your West area quiet and avoid disturbing it with major renovations, too much activity, etc. Fire element decor is the best way to keep under control the energies here – be it fire colors, fire images, a big lamp or an actual fire feature such as a fireplace or a grouping of candles. Avoid Water and Wood element decor here, avoid moving items (such as a big clock with a moving pendulum, for example). It is a balancing act here in 2017 because usually the West area loves the Metal and Earth feng shui elements and dislikes the Fire element. However, with the malevolent energy of the visiting star being of the Wood element, all the efforts (subtle ones!) are welcomed to subdue its influence, thus a strong emphasis on the Fire element. In 2017 there is a presence of another challenging energy here, the Grand Duke of Jupiter/Tai Sui, which makes it even more important to keep the area quiet and calm.
Northwest Area in 2017
The Northwest area also has challenging energy in 2017. The best way to deal with it is to focus on decorating with the Metal feng shui element, which is really easy because this bagua area loves the Metal element! So use white, gray, gold and silver colors, as well as round shapes or actual decor objects made from metal. Avoid Fire element in your Northwest area home decor. Avoid constant noise, redecoration or renovation in this area in 2017. The salt water cure is highly recommended here, too, as are the 6 Chinese coins tied with a red ribbon. A metal singing bowl can also serve as an excellent feng shui cure here in 2017; and so does a metal Wu Lou (the Chinese gourd).
North Area in 2017
The North bagua area contains the energy of career success in 2017 brought by the beneficial Metal element Star #6. The feng shui element decor and cures that support this energy are the Metal element decor cures such as Chinese coins, for example, or the more suitable (and subtle) feng shui Metal element decor items such as metal photo frames, round shapes, colors white and gray, etc. This is really easy to do because Metal element decor is usually recommended in this bagua area (Metal element nourishes/creates the Water element of the North area in the productive cycle of the 5 feng shui elements).
Home decor items that express the in Earth element such as earthy colors, square shapes, etc are also good here in 2017 to support this beneficial visiting star. Natural rock crystals are excellent in the North area in 2017, especially the ones with a Metal element presence such as pyrite or hematite. From the classical Chinese feng shui cures, a metal sculpture of the Laughing Buddha can be excellent here.
Northeast Area in 2017
The Northeast bagua area has joyful energies in 2017 brought by the feng shui Star #4 connected to romance and education. The energy of this visiting star is of the Wood element. So, both Water and Wood elements decor and feng shui cures are very good here because they nurture the energy of the visiting feng shui star.
You can also bring your love cures to this area in 2017 as this is another feng shui love area this year. From romantic photos to the double happiness sign, choose your own representation of love and romance energy.
Do your best to avoid strong Fire and Metal element decor here because this will weaken the auspicious energy of the area.
From classical Chinese feng shui cures, you can display the Mandarin ducks, the lucky bamboo plant or a blue color statue of Kuan Yin, the goddess of mercy. Lush green plants and fresh flowers are welcomed here in 2017 as they help create vibrant, fresh Chi.
Center Area in 2017
The Center feng shui bagua area is expected to have excellent energy in 2017, the so-called White Star #1 (of Water element). This feng shui star brings beneficial energy to strengthen your overall success and good luck energy (mostly connected to your career success). Best feng shui cures for this area are the ones that express the Water feng shui element, so feel free to add as many of Water element decor items here in 2017 as your heart pleases. Blue or black color pillows, rugs or blankets, or images of water are all good here. Mirrors or mirror-like surfaces are also welcomed, as are flowing shapes in your overall decor theme (flowing shapes being the expression of the Water feng shui element energy).
So, feel free to choose any of the above cures, as well as your own representation of the energy of good luck and success (just be sure to express this energy in the colors and shapes of the Water element). The feng shui decor items to avoid here in 2017 are the ones with strong Wood or Earth element colors, shapes, etc.

How To Energize Your Feng Shui Cures
- Choose a high energy time of the day (between 11AM and 1PM) to energize/activate your feng shui cure.
- Best time period for activating a feng shui cure is during the waxing cycle of the moon (between the new and full moon).

- While you can certainly activate your annual feng shui all cures at once, activating each cure separately by focusing on your intent, or your goal for placing a specific feng shui cure.
- For best results, activate/energize your feng shui cures immediately after cleansing them.
- Place your feng shui cures in their intended bagua areas shortly after activating them.
- Once your feng shui cures are activated and placed in their intended bagua areas, you can "seal" their energy by lighting a candle and burning incense in that area, while keeping silent/quiet and visualizing the result you want.
